The NRSB Mobile Resource Unit is equipped with both high and low tech products and a range of magnifiers. This enables a ‘hands on’ experience for vision impaired people with instruction and advice from the Resource Officer and the opportunity to order/purchase such products. In addition, there is information about NRSB’s services as well as a wide range of leaflets and information about eye conditions, product catalogues, Social Services, and other organisations providing services for vision impaired people.

Central Resources

We have a fully equipped resource centre at our headquarters in Radford where our Resource Officer can offer advice, information and demonstrations of products to assist the vision impaired in their day-to-day activities. The types of products available for purchase include:

  • Talking alarm clocks
  • Magnifiers
  • Liquid level indicators
  • Canes
  • Diaries and calendars
  • Games
