Health and Lifestyle

In addition to the sports on offer we have developed a programme of accessible exercise and healthy living advice for all our service users. We are working to raise awareness of the benefits of healthy eating, especially the benefits to sight that eating the right foods can bring. Please check the website for regular updates on healthy living and eating.

Gym and Swim

Weekly Thursday Gym and Swim sessions take place at the University of Nottingham Jubilee and Beeston sites. The sessions are open to all regardless of experience or current fitness levels. Staff are on hand to work with you to put together a fun and enjoyable programme that is sure to get you to your target goals.

In addition to the Gym and Swim sessions 2010 will see NRSB working alongside the NHS to run personal and confidential Health Risk Assessments. These assessments will give scope to inform individuals of their current health levels, how this may affect their quality of life and what changes they may or may not need to make to their everyday lives. Post Risk Assessment NRSB will be on hand to tailor a ‘Healthy Living Plan’ for each individual wishing to take part in the scheme.
