Arts groups currently run in Nottingham City and Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The workshops offer a safe and friendly environment to explore your inner creativity. We provide support throughout, offering ideas and practical advice. All are welcome. No experience necessary.
Our programme of Arts Workshops are designed to deliver a variety of new and interesting arts based activities across the county. The service not only enables visually impaired people to learn and develop new skills, but also provides a forum for individuals to meet in a supportive peer group environment.
We hold a range of different workshops including pottery, textiles, jewellery making and flower arranging amongst many others. We are always changing our themes and ideas based on the requests from the groups themselves and have been on trips to galleries and museums, including the 2011 visit to the Tate Modern.
Vicky Price is newly appointed at NRSB as the Arts and Crafts Officer and she is the main contact within the Leisure Services Team for Arts and Craft workshop enquiries. Vicky is a professional artist-designer specialising in printmaking, illustration and animation. She is a highly experienced teacher and workshop leader. In 2012 NRSB are looking forward to a range of new Arts activities including ceramics, sculpture and carving, casting in plaster, felt-making and screen-printing.
