Changes as a result of IMPACT

Over the last few years we have dramatically changed the way we in which we involve visually impaired people in our organisation. This all began with the IMPACT project when we consulted on a range of issues to ensure that NRSB offers the most appropriate support and that the needs of visually imparied people are fully met.

More Service User Involvement

Since IMPACT we have been committed to empowering, involving and consulting with the visually impaired community we support. We have involved individuals with important issues such as staff recruitment, the development of the Service User Group and planning and organising events including the Nottinghamshire Low Vision Service Committees Sight Matters Day.

At our 2008 Annual General Meeting (AGM) we held a consultation between visually imparied people, trustees and staff on what kind of membership local visually impaired people would like NRSB to provide. We have used the feedback from that event to develop and launch our new NRSB membership scheme. We invite you join us in developing NRSB into reaching its full potential.
