This section details the terms and conditions under which you are buying products and services from us. Please read them carefully. They will help you to get the best from us and to know what to do, if for any reason you are unhappy with any aspect of our service. From the initial date you order online from us, we expect that you have read and accepted NRSB's terms and conditions and you are agreeing to purchase our products and / or services subject to these terms and conditions. Your order to us is an offer to purchase a service and / or product and when we receive the payment for the product we accept your offer.
If at any time you wish to cancel a purchase or order with us, please contact us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to put things right.
We will happily offer a full refund for trips and services booked on-line or in person, providing we receive at least 7 days notice before commencement of the trip / service. If, for whatever reason, you need to cancel your place within 7 days of the event commencing we will be unable to offer a refund. There may be some exceptions to this policy, please refer to the specific terms and conditions that you will be issued with at time of booking. Equipment, aids and support centre products
If an item you purchase from us is faulty, we will repair or replace the item or offer you a full refund. We give 12 months' guarantee on all our products that they are as described, are free from faults and fit for their purpose. This starts when we dispatch the items to you. Some items are guaranteed for longer and this is indicated in the full description of the product. This guarantee does not apply to:
Where the product instructions are not followed, or where the products have been altered or repaired without our permission, or where you have given us incorrect or misleading information on their use
None of our terms and conditions affect your statutory rights and if any part of these terms and conditions is not valid or cannot be enforced in whole or in part this will not affect any other part of these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales and both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

When you supply any personal information to NRSB, we have legal obligations towards you in the way we deal with that data. We must collect the information fairly - we must explain how we will use it and tell you if we want to pass the information on to anyone else. In general, any information you provide to NRSB will only be used by NRSB. It will never be supplied to any other company without first obtaining your consent, unless we are obliged by law to disclose it. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 We do not hold financial details of any of our customers or service users on file.
We will make every effort to dispatch your order within 2 to 3 working days of receipt, subject to stock being available. If we have to order equipment in for we will let you know expected delivery date on receipt of your order. Contact the support centre on 0115 9706806 (option1) if you need your order delivered faster. If you do make a special delivery arrangement, you may need to pay a delivery charge. Most of our products can be sent by freepost under the 'Articles for the Blind' scheme. However, the Articles for the Blind scheme offers no guarantees of delivery or insurance for valuable items. We do, therefore, have to make delivery charges for some high value products which need to be sent by a special delivery method. Where a product incurs a delivery charge this is highlighted in the product details and will be added to your order at checkout.

We rely on public support to keep our services going, and to help establish new ones. Aside from taking part in one of our sponsored events, there are numerous other ways in which you can help Whether you are an individual, company, school, or charitable trust, your support makes a huge difference to the thousands of visually impaired children and adults that use our services.

NRSB has over 150 volunteers who work in a wide range of roles within the charity. By volunteering at NRSB you can assist local visually impaired people to realise their true potential. There are a wide range of volunteering roles available from home visiting to teaching computer skills, from ten pin bowling to street collections. Whether you have a number of days or just a couple of hours available, you can make a valuable contribution to the lives of visually impaired people.
