Hospital Link Scheme

Run in partnership with both City and County Teams for Vision Impairment the Link Scheme provides easy access to information and support to vision impaired patients at the Queens Medical Centre.

The scheme is staffed by a member of the TVI team and supported by a team of NRSB volunteers.

The service provides:

• Access to a confidential office, where patients can receive advice and information direct from the TVI worker based there.
• General information stands throughout the eye department
• Examples of possible equipment that patients can access
• Ward visiting for inpatients
• Waiting room liaison
