Home Visiting

The aim of the home visiting service is to reduce the social isolation of the vision impaired people of Nottinghamshire by providing a bridge to the community they live in.

NRSB aim to match a suitable volunteer with the service user for weekly visits.

Volunteers can help with simple tasks like:

  • Regular visiting for tea and a chat
  • Reading mail, newspapers etc
  • Accompanying on short walks – including shopping trips

Due to the shortage of volunteers, priority is given to those most in need, those who receive little to no visiting from family or friends.
